There is a massive housing crisis in the Philippines. A solution being touted is this version of a typical local housing solution called “banay kubo”, constructed from bamboo and offering basic shelter in a community used to cooking together and sharing other facilities. It can be erected in four hours.
Much as I like tiny houses I was disappointed that these structures don’t include basic plumbing. But I guess they’re better than tents or sleeping under a bridge.
